Our Story

Susan L. Zimmerman, Founder and CEO, got hooked on a feeling about South Carolina’s island beaches at an early age. Today, the entrepreneur and mother of two has taken those fond memories to market as a brand that appeals to beach lovers like herself.

After being laid off during the Great Recession, Susan made the courageous decision to quit praying a new opportunity would find her, and got busy creating her own opportunities instead. She raided her craft supplies and started pinning together ideas on the dining room floor. She tracked down experts, suppliers and other designers to learn the business. Mentorship from other women entrepreneurs inspired her to keep going when success seemed out of reach.

Today, five years after being created on that dining room floor, nationwide sales and a growing fan base on social media are further proof that this is the business she was destined to create.
